The Green Dragon Foundation recently announced that two of its board members are leaving the Lewisburg area and also the Foundation.  In January, the Board of Directors of the Green Dragon Foundation regretfully accepted a letter of resignation from founding board member, Bob Kallin.  Bob recently accepted a position as Vice President of Development, Alumni and Parent Relations at Gettysburg College starting January 18, 2010.

In his letter Bob writes, “It has been an invigorating experience serving on the Green Dragon Foundation board and I think you are destined for great success moving forward.  There is great promise for the future of the Lewisburg Area School District and I’ll be cheering you from afar.  All best wishes for continued success.”

In March, Sam Lundquist, Development Committee Chair, submitted his letter of resignation to the Green Dragon Foundation Board of Directors effective April 1, 2010.  Sam recently accepted a position with University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.  Sam and his family will be relocating to the Philadelphia area this spring.

In his letter Sam writes, “I appreciate the opportunity that you made available to me in helping you organize and the Foundation’s initial fundraising program.  It has been an honor to represent the Green Dragon Foundation during my brief service as a board member.  Thank you very much for your support and leadership in this important endeavor.  Best wishes for much future success!”

The Green Dragon Foundation wishes both of these directors well in their new professional roles.  We are grateful to Bob and Sam for their leadership and guidance especially in the area of financial development.

Sam Lundquist receives a token of appreciation from Ann Sherpick, Vice-President of Green Dragon Foundation.
