GDF Provides Baritone to Enhance Instrument Lending Library

January 22, 2019 - The Green Dragon Foundation recently donated a Baritone to the Donald H. Eichhorn Middle School Instrument Lending Library. On hand to present the gift was donor and board member, Karen Nicholson to Lindsey Eischeid, Band Director, who accepted the gift on behalf of the school.
Nicholson stated, “This Baritone belonged to my father when he was a high school student. In addition, my son Allen used it while he was a student at LAHS.” She continues, “I’m really happy to donate it so that current and future students may benefit from it.” Eischeid responded, “Thank you so much. We will definitely be able to use this instrument; I can think of a few students that it will immediately help.”
The Green Dragon Foundation supports the district’s Instrument Lending Library and encourages individuals to donate their gently used instruments to them to enhance this program. According to Ann Glock, Executive Director, “This wonderful program enables students to participate in the district’s excellent music program even if they are unable to rent/own an expensive instrument.
