On Saturday September 7, The Green Dragon Foundation hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of the Dragons’ Den at the Lewisburg Area High School athletic complex as the girls and boys high school soccer teams played a double header. Athletes, fans and donors to the project were on hand for the first official use of the facility which provides restrooms, an athletic trainer’s room and concession space.

Foundation Board President Bob Kallin and Committee Chair Abby Gulden-Luthi both said a few words of thanks before cutting the ceremonial green ribbon. Members of the LAHS Chamber Choir sang the alma mater. Executive Director Ann Glock stated, “We sincerely thank the many donors who helped us provide $417,000 to make the Dragons’ Den a reality. We look forward to utilizing this facility as we cheer on our Green Dragons.”

Glock added that the foundation’s next goal is to raise funds for lights and a sound system at the turf field through the Fire Up the Lights! campaign. You can find more information or make a donation on our website.
