The President, with the approval of the Board of Directors, may designate and appoint Standing or Special Committees. Annually, the president reviews the list of committees and appoints board members, advisors to the board, and volunteer committee members to serve on them. Much of the important work of The Green Dragon Foundation is reviewed and discussed at the committee level before being brought to the Board of Directors for consideration. Acts on behalf of the Board of Directors to address important and/or urgent issues that cannot be held until the next scheduled Board Meeting.
Shall report all its activities to the Board of Directors at each regular meeting.

This Strategic Initiatives Committee meets as needed to:
Review and recommend potential LASD programs and initiatives that GDF can financially support based on input received from LASD administration.
Review and recommend specific LASD programs and initiatives to receive annual distribution of GDF gifts to LASD.
All recommendations are brought to the GDF board of directors for review and approval.
