LAHS Girls Basketball Team Refines Skills with New Training Equipment

Last Updated 12/16/2021

The LAHS girls basketball team has recently welcomed "Herb" to their practice squad. "Herb" is a Spalding Universal Shot Trainer that allows the girls to simulate shooting over a defender to work on proper form. Funds from The Josephine K. Machamer Steele Endowment were used to purchase the new training equipment for the team. Before the arrival of "Herb", a coach would hold up their arm to give the player something to shoot over. Now the coach can watch the players and give them immediate feedback instead of acting as the defensive player. The Green Dragon Foundation is proud to provide annual support to the girls basketball program through this endowment.
