Green Dragon Foundation 2018 Volunteer of the Year Announced

Last Updated 12/16/2021

November 26, 2018 - On November 17, The Green Dragon Foundation (GDF) hosted its 10th Anniversary Celebration Event at Bucknell University’s Larison Hall. The Foundation recognized its generous donors and volunteers, commemorated its 10 year anniversary, celebrated the successful completion of VISION 2020: Our Children-Our Future campaign, and honored the service of founding president, Brooks Gronlund.

A highlight of the evening included the Foundation honoring Julie H. Kramm with its “Volunteer of the Year” award!  In 2014, Kramm began chairing the Brandon Kramm Golf Tournament and in 2015, she added the ‘Field of Dreams’ Benefit Auction to her “charge”. According to Ann Glock, Executive Director, “Julie has been an incredible fundraiser. She has been instrumental in helping to raise more than $400,000 for the Brandon Kramm Memorial Endowment and the Brandon Kramm Memorial Baseball Field. The Foundation plans to break ground for the new athletic facility this coming spring.”

Kramm is especially proud of the effort to build a first-rate facility for student athletes in memory of her son, Brandon. She stated “This was only possible because of the help and guidance of my husband Jeff, my family, friends, The Green Dragon Foundation and many local businesses.”

Kramm stated “I will continue to volunteer and support GDF to help ensure that the children of Lewisburg are provided “top notch” educational, cultural and athletic programs. Our entire community benefits when we can assist the school district’s ability to provide our children with all the opportunities for a successful life and the finest education possible.”

Ever the fundraiser, Kramm would like to remind everyone that on Friday, June 7, 2019, GDF will again host its annual Brandon Kramm Golf Tournament at Bucknell Golf Course. Glock stated, “Moving forward, this tournament will provide annual funding to augment Brandon’s Endowment which supports Lewisburg athletic programs and facilities.”

Along with a plaque of appreciation, GDF will be making a $1,000 gift to LASD in honor of Kramm. The organization thanks Kramm for her service and all of her efforts on behalf of Lewisburg students!
