LAHS Class of 2019 Presents The Green Dragon Foundation With A Gift

Last Updated 12/16/2021

June 3, 2019 - On May 31, LAHS principal, Ms. Paula Reber; 2019 Class Advisors, Mrs. Tracy Strosser and Mrs. Peggy Albright; and members of the Class of 2019 presented Don Steele, Treasurer of The Green Dragon Foundation with a check for $1,816. This gift represented the remaining funds in the class’ account at LAHS. Throughout the class’ four years in high school, they fundraised to sponsor the Junior/Senior Prom and other senior year activities. Once all of the class’ expenditures were met, they chose to donate the balance and make a gift to the Foundation to place a gazebo in memory of Brendan Fisher in the soon to be constructed high school cafeteria courtyard. According to Ann Glock, Executive Director of The Green Dragon Foundation, “This is a wonderful tradition; they are the fifth graduating class to make a gift to the Foundation. This is an ideal way for graduating classes to leave their “legacy” for current and future LAHS students. We appreciate their generosity and thoughtful tribute to their classmate who passed away.”
